I’m Mary Sherrod Hoy. I live in Thomasville with my husband Jim. I am a lifetime resident of this area, having grown up in Coolidge, GA. I graduated from Thomas County Central High School and continued my education at Thomas University. I am a member of the Thomasville Area Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors and abide by a strict code of ethics as set forth by them and uphold a high standard of professionalism. I enjoy gardening, baking, camping and spending time with friends and family.
I have twin Daughters who also live locally. They both graduated from Thomas County Central High School and Valdosta State University. Courtney and her husband Daniel are residents of Thomasville. Courtney works with the Assistant City Manager of the City of Thomasville and the Video Marketing Team there. Kristen lives with her husband Mitch in Sylvester, Ga. Kristen is a first grade teacher at Odum Elementary School in Moultrie, GA.
I worked as an accountant for 23 years and retired in July of 2016. My last role was AP Manager for a multi-million-dollar corporation. In that position I managed all payments for 10 plants across the U.S. As an accountant, I learned to listen carefully to the needs of the business and the staff I managed, and to be responsive, reliable, credible and to communicate. As a Realtor, I now do the same for my clients as they describe things in a home that are important to them. I try to use those details to find a home that they will love. I also assist with: acquiring financing, accessing needs and wants, the search, the offer, inspections and closing the deal.
If you are a seller, your home will be marketed through social media, multiple listing services, open houses and advertisements, to clients that want to love and enjoy it as much as you do. You can be assured that potential buyers will be pre-qualified. Showings, calls, paperwork and negotiations will all be handled.
One of my great joys in life is helping people. I also believe that one of the most IMPORTANT things in life is having a place to call home. My goal is to help my clients find the perfect place to call home, the perfect place to enjoy life and family. That’s the most satisfying part of the career for me, and that’s why I became a realtor.
I choose to work with Rose City Realty, Inc. because they are a locally owned, progressive, growing business. We are 19 Agents strong and very focused on finding buyers and sellers that are a match. We meet each week to discuss our listings and the needs of our buyers. When you allow me to be your Realtor, you have me and the entire team working for you.
